Hey Everyone,

Here's a portrait from my annual pilgrimage to Saint Paul Island. I am simply spellbound every time I have a close encounter with a Crested Aucklet. We had countless hours enjoying the interaction and amazing tangerine scent they are known to produce during the nesting season was so strong it was as if someone was peeling a tangerine next to me.

Chris, wonderful portrait that's well composed with lovely details.  The triad with the crazy eye, colorful beak and curved feather crest creates pleasing visuals and eye movement for the viewer.  The tangerine smell experience sounds quite intriguing.

Fantastic image Christopher!
Love the bright orange beak and how well it contrast with the black plumage, very nicely done. Thanks for the extra piece of info regarding the smell the produce!
