I love this place for watching Ospreys up close and at eye-level.  Although I have known about the location for the past few years, this is my first summer visiting the place.  The nest was originally built much higher but 3 years ago they had to move it to a lower perch. A perfect height for photographing the birds.

I am standing close enough to hear one of the young ospreys hiccupping.  Maybe it had tried to gulp down too much fish in one try.  It hiccupped for about one minute before resuming its dinner.

Canon 40D and 500 F4 II + 1.4x III.  Gitzo tripod and Sidekick.  Thanks for looking.

Gorgeous image --- there's not much left of the fish!
