Taken at the same ponds as my previous posts. I just sat at the edge of the pond and waited for the birds to come to me - and they came very close even though I made no attempt to hide.

Canon 1D4, 500mm f4 L IS II + 1.4x III, ISO 200, f 6.3, 1/1250 sec, manual exposure, tripod

Nice. I wonder if the comp would be better with the bird out in front of the little bit of vege? No matter really. I like it as shot. Well done.

Yes, they tend to come close if you don't move.
