Crimson-rumped Toucanet
Northwest Ecuador
Canon 5DM3 | Canon 300mm f/2.8 with1.4x TC | 1/60th | f/4 | ISO 4000 | Fill Flash
Hi everyone,
Here's a favourite of mine from this past winter's trip to Ecuador with Glenn Bartley. Each morning, this gorgeous species would pay us a visit on the grounds of one of the lodges visited during our workshops. A beautiful and challenging subject for our participants to practice their new fill flash techniques on.
Can't wait to return to this bird photography paradise in January!
Best of luck,

Jess, lovely bird with uplifted pose and along with the perch, the diagonal makes for a pleasing comp. Nice complementary BG to boot.

Very cool bird. Nice use of fill flash. Well done.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph
