I have been going to a series of small ponds that attract a fair number of shorebirds on migration. At my last visit there were 10 species present allowing fairly close photo opportunities. I have been trying to get actions shots of the various species which has proven to be a challenge - especially the smaller ones.
Canon 1D4, 500mm f4L IS II, ISO 800, f4, 1/1600 sec, manual exposure, tripod. ( I usually hand hold my 500mm but had surgery to reconstruct my right thumb joint so I am restricted to tripod use for several weeks) Bob Kothenbeutel
