It's a nice scene Alan, but the outline of the buildings and the wake from the boat detract from the idyllic feeling that the natural elements provide.  The sky is incredible and the silhouette of the loons is very nice.

Lovely loon-scape Alan --- terrific sky, and I like the reflection in the waves.

Alan, beautiful birdscape with the colors of the gorgeous sky/clouds reflecting on the water surface.  Great to see the Loon's outline clearly visible on the lighter part of the water.

Awesome feel from this shot. Reminds of my days up in northern Wisconsin. Thanks.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph

Beautiful colors and mood Alan, awesome image!

One thing, I would think as a landscape image this would be a natural for the D800 yet you used the D4.Of course it worked great anyway and should since it's a great camera. Just curious if there was any reason or just what you grabbed.

Thanks!!

George

Hey George,

I had my D800 on the 600 lens next to me :-) Good to hear from you.

Fantastic image with Loons in their environment, I actually like the ripples probably created by your boat!
