Spent a few days up in the mountains this week searching for Ptarmigans. What a great time spent in a gorgeous place!

fantastic image mate. I think you could make the bird pop a bit more by darkening it selectively or running a curves adjustment just on the bird.

Nice one! If you had moved up a couple inches the birds head would be move visible against the water and wouldn't merge with the shoreline.
