This image was taken just a fraction of a second before it locked on a big fish.
I will post one of the images with the fish next.
I usually don't tell story of the shot but this time I do.
I was shooting Terns in flight when from the corner of my eyes I noticed an Osprey circling above the water. I started literally running and got as far as the bridge over the creek when it struck. It felt like time had stopped. I started shooting and fired about fifteen shots and then it was over. Never had such a good opportunity ever.
Thanks for looking.

Really nice, Karl. Water must have been shallow for the bird to come in at such a shallow angle and the fish to be visible on the surface. Cool shot.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph

Thanks, Ron. Good observation about the water level. This is the part where the Grindstone Creek enters to Burlington Bay.
This year the lake level is high (Lake Huron) consequently the water level of the marshy area is high but still only about two feet or could even be less at areas.

Great intense look and the stretched-out talons add to it.

Karl, wowsers, fantastic "in the moment" shot with super action pose, I'm savoring the intensity here with those eyes and those talons extended toward intended target.
