Black Skimmer - Fledged Juvenile
I spent the morning at the Black Skimmer Colony on the West Coast of Florida.
I love watching the juvenile Skimmers trying out their wings and their skimming techniques.

Nice take off pose.
We have a couple of skimmers on Massachusetts beaches and they have attracted lots of attention by birders and photographers.

Super nice. Love the feet and the motion is portrays. Nice detail and sharpness.
You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely, or perhaps, freeze a moment of it forever in a photograph

Really nice shot Kat --- I like that you caught him in mid-stride with a little swirl coming off the foot.

Kathy, looks like it was a wonderful morning for both you and the fledgling, so cute with the feet skipping along and the wings flapping, a summery, happy image, very nice.
