I loved the E.J article and have have a similar goal this year to not only incorporate habitat in my shots but have it play a key part of the composition. While I await migrant warblers, this shot reminded me of an incredible backyard experience. After multiple trips to Magee Marsh and seeing Cape May warblers typically hidden in deciduous growth, this Cape May warbler appeared last May in a balsam tree along my back deck and sang for two hours.  This is uncropped and I prefer it to cropping it to just bird. The bird is small but the typical boreal conifer setting is exactly what this bird breeds in.

It's great to have such a nice backyard bird every once in a while. Nice shot, love the colors and detail.
