I was thrilled to have a stalking close encounter in appropriate habitat yesterday for this at highly risk species (near breeding male?). Most I see are in flocks up in the trees in migration.

Nice. a species I have yet to encounter in 25+ years of birding in boreal regions.. nicely exposed here showing some rust.
