Red-breasted merganser

Inland where I live, the red-breasted vs. common merganser is indeed less common.  Found along shore at sunrise, and taken from my car as blind . . could not wish for more.

Shutter speed: 1/500 sec
Aperture: 7.1
Exposure mode: Av
Exposure compensation: +1/3
Flash: Off
Metering mode: Evaluative
Drive mode: Continuous
ISO: 400
Lens: EF500mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x

Gorgeous light and reflections! I am just wondering if a slight crop on the right and top might make this stronger.
