Green Violetear (Costa Rica)

I believe I have not shared this one here before!

I shot this fella on my past Jan photo workshop in Costa Rica.

For this one I used

1D4+600+1.4TC+Tripod+fill flash.

Your comments and suggestions for improving are always welcome!

Gorgeous, Juan! Great lines, subject and composition too. The left side being one of the brighter spots might benefit from being darkened a little but great image!

Beautiful capture Juan Carlos with a very complimentary composition.  This is the first time I have noticed the chest changing from green to blue on this spices as all the captures I have only show a green chest.

You are right Rick!
Depending on light direction, some feathers can turn bluish in this specie!

What a beauty, Juan. I missed Costa Rica just by a hair last year because of my heavy shoot-outs elsewhere. Yes, I will be there soon. TFS.
