One from last week. I was lucky to able to spend a few days up in far north Queensland. This is a tropical honeyeater species common in rainforest areas.
Thanks for looking, Greg

Looks like your visit was extremely well timed Greg - They're in for some wild weather up there.

A beautiful honeyeater that you dont see many comparable images of.
Personally, I could do without the flowers as for me they pull away from the scene & dilute what is a very strong looking species

The background wouldn't be a toilet block lawn would it? :)

Beautiful framing Greg, really like how you have use the perch to fill the frame corner to corner.
Excellent details on this beautiful bird and nice use of fill flash.

Beautifully done, Greg. An amazing shot, as always. The only thing I wish for on many of these setup shots is more depth. Perhaps adding some additional foliage just beyond the perch or choosing a more varied background would help. That being said, I realize how difficult achieving setup shots at this level can be, just my two cents. :)

If I saw this in a wallpaper design I'd want it in my hallway or dining room. It's gorgeous.
