Love your shots of Pine Martins! May I be so bold and ask for an honest answer? How far are you from these when you take the photos? I own a 70-400mm
and am just curious on your shooting distance(average)..

We really are spoilt for choice with Marten images this past week and this is a beauty Karl! Love the standing pose which not only gives us a clear view of the face, but also a good look at the throat and underbelly fur tones. A fine image!
