This is another image from my trip to Armendaris, NM. On the way back from the back cave and in the absolute emptiness of the desert, vehicle headlights picked several pair of eyes in the distance.  Upon close inspection, a bobcat den was revealed with 2-3 kittens and their mom curiously picking from behind the rocks. We took some frames and then carried on, and never saw them again in the area. Needless to say it was quite challenging using flash as main light in pitch dark desert night. Someone had to hold up the high-power flash light for the cameras to grab focus, after a few minutes it was burning their hand so we had to stop! I hope you like it. The kitten is hanging on to lava rock.
