With plenty of grass to feed on and enough water and mud to wallow in, this Indian Rhino seems one happy chappie..... but..... looks are deceptive. Her home is one of the smallest Wildlife Sanctuaries in the world with probably the highest concentration of wild rhinos on the planet. At just over 16 sq. km area, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in India is home to almost a hundred wild Indian Rhinos and hemmed in on all sides by village. However, Pobitora, in spite of the puny size, hosts not only the rhinos but Wild Buffaloes, Wild Boars, Fishing Cats, Golden Jackals and resident and migratory birds in their thousands.
