From  last summer, early AM handheld capture from my pack canoe required a high ISO so not the best conditions. Just processed for first time-catching up. Adirondacks, NY State . .  a hike in remote pond.

Exposure mode: Av
Metering mode: Evaluative

I like the great low angle you captured from the canoe - decent light and sharpness too.  Well worth your effort to get to and photograph this remote pond.  True wilderness!

Good eye contact and I like the mid-chomp catch. The low angle from the canoe sure gives you a nice perspective on the whole scene, putting the moose entirely against the green shrubbery.

Nice shot of a bull doing what moose do -- the velvet looks good in this light.

Jeff, I think you did an amazing job orchestrating this shot from a canoe. The backgrounds are usually close and distracting but the way you shot and processed this image does not take away from the bull. He is super sharp and the POV is powerful.

Not "your average" moose shot Jim. Looks like you may be giving Mark some competition. :)

The teeth, the eyes....good job on the low angle too.
