I hope the ongoing media coverage has helped raise the profile of this critically endangered species.
I must admit that I have grown very fond of them, having followed and watched them daily for a period earlier in 2015. The social interactions of the Crested Macaque fascinate me. I look forward to seeing them again in a couple of months time, and hopefully in years to come. This particular cheeky fellow wanted to 'borrow' my camera, presumably to take a selfie like its cousin. I did take this image, however, so there's no ambiguity about who owns the copyright! D750, 28mm, f3.2, ISO900, 1/60th, flash. |
