I hope the ongoing media coverage has helped raise the profile of this critically endangered species.

I must admit that I have grown very fond of them, having followed and watched them daily for a period earlier in 2015. The social interactions of the Crested Macaque fascinate me. I look forward to seeing them again in a couple of months time, and hopefully in years to come.

This particular cheeky fellow wanted to 'borrow' my camera, presumably to take a selfie like its cousin. I did take this image, however, so there's no ambiguity about who owns the copyright!

D750, 28mm, f3.2, ISO900, 1/60th, flash.
Regards,

Des

What a ham! I would be tempted to fill the white spots with pale green.

What a wonderful face and smile this fellow gave you! If this were mine I'd crop from the left to minimize the white spots in the background. To my eye, the resulting square frame would be fine for this subject.

Great pose Des!  I agree with Cindy's suggestion for a square crop.  What a great smile you captured.

Love that expression. Kind of looks like a politician campaigning.
