Another shot from our Pantanal, Brazil trip.  This male Jaguar was stalking caiman along the riverbank.
Canon 5D3 500F4 1/1250 F5.6, Av mode, evaluative metering -0.3, iso 1600, handheld from boat.

You need to click on this one to bring in the darker surround and then it sings. A lovely illustration of the stealthy stalking movement - head lowered, dropped shoulder and raised paw with alternate raised shoulder and weight supporting paw, and all senses working to locate prey. Beautiful animal and a fine behaviour capture in dramatic side light Nate!

I really like the "stalking" pose of the Jaguar, and the raised paw adds more interest! Nicely done!
