I went to the Minnesota River Bottoms looking for Whitetails, the rut is at peak and found this guy leaving his scent on a branch. The tree was laying close to the ground so I had to get low to the ground and the  OOF green grass was a distraction to the images, so I converted to B & W in post processing to make the grass blend more into the image.

A nice behaviour capture of the classic scent marking John.

Good conversion John. Good example of changing the media to suit the image. As Carol said, good behaviour shot too!
