Lovely natural image of this wonderful species Missy!    I like the way its striding out through the snow and just the right amount of head turn.  Amazing how all your polar bears seem to be smiling with such a benevolent expression.   8)

Dynamite photo, Missy. Falling snow is a bonus. How do you like the new 5DSr?

I agree with all the comments. Great capture of this magnificent bear. You must have been close and the low angle makes it so dramatic.

I loved the camera Leigh.  It is my daughter's and I decided last minute to bring it as my second body.  I am so glad I did because with 50 megapixels, I was able to retain great detail and I was sometimes cropping ¾ or more.  I would definitely recommend it!  It was quite slow and the buffer filled quickly but the bears weren't moving too quickly :)

I tried not to go over ISO 2000 but the few that I did, I was able to reduce the noise and get great results.  This image was taken at ISO 2000 and I did not have to do any noise reduction.

What a little sweetie pie Missy. Did your autofocus misbehave with all of those snowflakes?

Great photo! The specks of falling snow almost make it look like a painted background. This photo is serene, yet full of personality!
