Tip-Toes over the river rocks. Early evening (8:30pm BC Time) with the beautiful glow of evening light!  This Khutzeymateen grizzly was en route to his destination and travelling with intent along the tide-out shoreline. The river crossing was amazing to witness , as he navigated on the rock tops mostly, until the deep side of the crossing. The river rocks were amazing  to see with their very saturated and bright colour! I have reduced the saturation on the rocks but still look very bright.

Nikon D610 , Nikon lens 200-400 F4, VR,  @ 400mm, with vr on active, Image is almost full frame with slight crop to level, 1/500, F7.1, ISO 1250, -.67 meter compensation, Hand held from a floating zodiac boat,

comments and critique  great appreciated.

Very nice to see a bear moving with grace and not the lumbering shots normally posted.

The light on the bear which effectively "spotlights" it really makes this image special. If this was mine I'd crop the top to remove the light colored horizontal tree-trunk because it keeps drawing my attention away from the subject. Great pose and I also really like all the different colors and textures in the vegetation on the rocks.

Hello Cindy.... The horizontal tree trunk could be altered to reduce it's prominence or cropped out , as you mentioned. If cropped out , it looks too pano for me! ... I do not clone on my nature images but try to leave them as I remember them when captured!
Thanks for your perceptive comment!
