Baby Lynx - Telluride

I posted the mother lynx a week or so ago, this is one of the two lynx kittens that was following mom.  This kitten refused to cross Hwy 145, and eventually mom and the other kitten recrossed the road and rejoined this kitten.  Photographed in some pretty heavy cover as it waited for mom - but look at the size of those feet!

Nikon D3s body, Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR II lens, ISO 400, f3.2 at 1/500 second, handheld, raw converted to jpg in CS6.

The cover doesn't bother me. I actually like him peeking out like that. What a privilege to see.
