I captured this Coyote at 5:57 am  in June on a small pond in Maine, last year.
Sony A77, 1/500, f7.1, Iso 250, 400mm(70-400mm)

Well if this image doesn't show the Wolf genes in our Eastern Coyote, nothing does! Just look at that face! Maine's Coyote can reach weights upwards of 85 lbs.! Westerns don't get anywhere near that big. And as much as hunters try to eradicate them, they continue to do well. We really NEED this predator in the wilds to keep a good natural balance.

This is just an extraordinary image of a hard to photograph species. It is much easier to photograph them in the West by far. Great find Bob, and you handled it well! :)
