Hi everyone! I have been a member here for a few years but never ventured into the wildlife forum. I love shooting all wildlife, even if it doesn't have wings so I decided to post some mammals.

This is a young coyote that got split up from it's two siblings by the presence of our car. It wasn't sure how to get back to them but as he was walking parallel to us I made some squeaking sounds to get him to stop and give us a look in the nice morning light.  I hope you like it.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input.  I appreciate it.

Nice shot Dave, Coyotes are beautiful animals in their own right, and this one is giving you a cautionary look.
Nice and sharp, nice BG, and low.

Welcome to Wildlife David!

I think you know by now that I have enjoyed your bird images since you started posting on NSN, and it is great that you have decided to venture over to the four legged forum.  :)

A lovely image of a fit, young coyote in early morning light - I like your low down perspective, the alert pose with pricked ears, implied motion and the head turn enabling the light to catch those bright eyes.  The pastel colour tones of the setting are a fine backdrop for this handsome boy.  I look forward to more from you.

I like the contrast of the cool background colors and the warm light on the coyote.

Welcome to the furry side :) Lovely pose and a good looking coyote. But what makes it for me are the beautiful background colors contrasted against the light on the coyote. A really pretty image.
