Welcome !! What a lovely serene setting- a beautiful animal, rather poignant. The overall mood is just charming. I wish the stump was not on the other side or the trunk-perhaps it could be toned down or cloned out. Just a minor detail in the overall picture.

welcome to NSN. lovely first post. ditto Carol's thoughts . big plus points for the framing and composition., a positional change, sometimes not possible when actually happening would fix the stump.

Nice photo. Also, for me, the white sky at the top of the photo tends to take my eyes to that location, away from the main subject. Maybe you could try cropping the sky out and see how it affects what you're trying to present?

I like everything about this lovely image except for the unfortunate position of that dead tree stump behind the Ele - it makes it look like it has two trunks. The rest of the composition is just right and well proportioned to showcase this iconic African giant in its natural habitat. I look forward to seeing more from you!
