It seems every year in late August and September the beavers at our neighborhood pond suddenly become diurnal and are frequently active until 0800 to 0830.  Still difficult to catch them totally out of the water or doing something interesting.  7D, 500/F4+1.4, F5.6, 1/125, +0.33, ISO 640, tripod.  Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

Great pose and framing. Agreed that it's nice and difficult to get them out of the water.

When you click on this to bring in the darker surround, you can see how nicely you have framed the beaver with what was available. Good detail - I like that little curly ear and clear view of the eye. Quite a character Dave!

David, I like natural photos such as this. I know how hard they are to get. Good Job.

Great to find one out in the open and have a nice image of it, Dave.
