Mother Deer and Fawn

The Mother came to the pond to drink, and her fawn was with her.  The Fawn moved over and slid under her neck while the Mother was drinking, allowing a nice photo of the two of them together.

Welcome! Although its a shame the doe's rump is clipped, you have caught a nice intimate view of this sweet moment with both faces visible.

I was primarily photographing birds when I took this photo.  They came in pretty close, and the photo is shown without any crop.  I agree a bit more rump would have been better.
