3-toed Sloth, Costa Rica
Canon 7D mkII, 70-300, 1/500 f/8 iso1600

Had a great 2 weeks in Costa Rica.  One animal I wanted to see was a sloth, and we were able to find them on the first day.  Overcast helped give even light but unfortunately also the white sky peeking through.  I tried to minimize that as much as possible.

Very nice Cindy, he gave you great eye contact. Shooting in the canopy it's tough to avoid those bright spots. Congrats on seeing and taking a very nice image of this species.

He/she gave you a great pose. Tough shot and you did well. You could even crop a bit tighter for my taste. Very nice

The highlights when you're shooting up into the tree canopy can be a real pain, but that facial expression is so typical sloth - why do they always seem to be smiling....   :)

Its good that you were able to see one early in your trip - and get such a nice image!

Beautiful pose Cindy. The natural habitat is nice too.

Despite the sky you captured a fine scene..It appears to have a smile. Very appealing.

The Sloth looks pretty pleased with itself.
The sky highlights are OK especially around the face. Agree a slightly tighter crop might help.
Love the green moss in the fur.
A nice shot of the Sloth at home in it's Cecropia tree.
