Full of character! I love the cheeky expression you caught here Kathryn, quite a surprised look which adds to the appeal of the image. My only nit is the bright circle, which looks like light shining through the tree canopy - it catches my eye and draws it away from the squirrel.

Great pose with those bright eyes. I would be tempted to go for a vertical crop to eliminate the white spot which Carol mentioned, and trim off more of the tree trunk, and finally a smidge of sharpening would really make this sing.
