Galapagos Lizards

This one is from North Seymour Island on the Galapagos.  The small lizard is a Lava Lizard, fairly often you see them on top of their larger relatives, in this case a Land Iguana, but often it's a Marine Iguana.  I think they grab small insects that are stirred up by their larger, vegetarian relatives.

Nikon D7000, Sigma 150-500 at 450mm.  !/400 F10, iso 400, full frame, handheld

This is so cool Nate! What a great way to compose this image with the larger lizard/perch fading away into a nice OOF BG. One of the coolest lizard images I have seen!
