I previously posted a shot of a Southern Right Whale with Cape Town subarbs in the background.  Here is one from a couple of years ago taken on a misty, foggy morning.

Nikon D7000, Sigma 150-500 at 500mm 1/1600 F8, iso 800, handheld from boat.

The soft light definitely let you capture the detail for this study. Hard to get this on whales when there is bright sun. Was this also from South Africa?
