Cheetah Cub Descent

Last weekend in the Sabi Sands we spent some time on our last morning with a female cheetah who had 2 cubs left of her original 5 (lions killed 3!) - and these cubs loved getting up in trees.

Here one of them is jumping from a Marula trunk.

I liked the square crop with the tree beginning in top right corner. About 70% of full frame image.

What a shame Morkel, I did think the odds were stacked against the famous five. We can only hope for the remaining two.

What a lovely image this is, I love the action and angle of this youngster climbing down and the contrast of its fur against the rough bark of the marula.
