Took this whilst in the Aberdares.   Lots of attitude.  techs were 1/320 f5.6 with a 500 af-s and D300.  at 400 iso and -.67 ev.

Wouldn't want to mess with that guy! Nice head on portrait to further add to the intimidation factor. I personally would prefer the shot a bit more without the out of focus buffalo on the left. Otherwise, composition, color, processing, etc all look right on. A nice image.

Beautiful soft light and impressive detail David! The depth of field is ideal - from the nose back. Really fine work!

Hi Chris.  Hope well.  Understand your comment.  I do have images without, but chose to leave that oof buff as to me  it adds context.   in the frame of life, that's ok to have differing preferences.   how could we move forward without.  thanks.    Appreciate your appraisal.
