This is probably the last bobcat image of the season.  My bobcat safaris run from September thru the end of March, sometimes early April.  I shot this male on Friday, March 20, 2015.  He moved into a thicket but we found a hole to shoot through.  Taken in Pinnacles National Park, CA.

Nikon D7100 body, 500mm f4 lens, ISO 400, 1/200 at f4, Indura Tripod, raw converted to jpg in CS6.

Cool shot but a strong magenta cast.

Really? "strong"? I reset the colors using the white eyedropper on the cats face, at the nose near the whiskers, and the image hardly changed at all - maybe a "very slight" magenta cast.

Paaul,

This is a wonderful portrait of the bobcat.

I agree with EJ, decreasing the magenta saturation and a bit of blue would further enhance this fine image.

Or, use this Quick fix tip to eliminate an overall color cast. Duplicate the layer  (Cmd J) > Filter / Blur / Average > Invert the Layer (Cmd I) > Change Layer Blend Mode to Overlay or Soft Light > vary Layer Opacity for effect.

Best,

Chas
