Hi

I think I prefer the little one facial orientation / expression in this one - so a little more appealing perhaps if that makes sense

All the best

The little one is terribly cute :-)

The problem with shooting monkeys high up in trees is often that you're shooting in extremely high contrast conditions. As for the exposure, you did well here though. Another problem is the inevitable abundance of clutter - branches and leafs all over the place, and it's hard to make your compositions not feel random. That would be my main concern here - no matter how much I enjoy to see this species, there are just too many visual elements that I find distracting, in particular the bright, diagonal branch in the background and the OOF leaves in the URC. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you both, this one is certainly more about the subject than the greatness of the light or compositional potential. Just not one of those shots you can really make into an amazing compo. When you are shooting like this, it is about the action and head turns, not really about the compo as in such instances you are extremely limited by what you can accomplish. I agree with you Marsel on all your nits. I would have cleaned up the branch, and I can technically, though not sure if it is worth all the effort. As a note, I edited the image on the Asus PA279Q that you advised me to purchase so thanks again :)

Its not easy getting good images looking up into the tree canopy but you did well with these shots. I like them both and perhaps this one marginally wins over the previous one because of the look from the infant.
