This one is from a few years back.  To me it seems as though the broken ear and the gash underline the (temporary) rejection of his mistress.

It's been a long winter... anyone else got moose fever??

Neat story telling image Chris, very different in a good way. If you had just a bit more room on the right I would include it, other than that I love the composition.
