I have been photographing Spirirt bears for a number of years now. They are amazing hypnotic creatures, truly a sight to behold.

See you in the field or at the computer,

I am glad we are seeing more and more images of these iconic bears in the forum.  An intimate view, and the superb view and detail of the salmon makes this one special!

This is just about perfect for a portrait. Love it! The glistening rocks, the salmon and its expression, and the bear itself are all in perfect focus. It almost looks like a still life! My only complaint is the harshness of the one piece of vegetation near the bear's forehead in the background. I don't like to clone things usually, but the rest of the image is so perfect that I might consider it here.

I'd love to see them someday. Great image! Here's a related story on the Great Bear Rain Forest:

Absolutely beautiful. This is on the bucketlist, hopefully made easier since they're in my home province of BC =)
