Also called the American marten, the pine marten ranges in forests and woodlands across Alaska, Canada and the[font=Arial] northern United Staes. [/font][font=Arial]Their diet consists of mice, hares, birds, amphibians, reptiles, insects, fish, nuts & fruit. Pine martens often make their nests in trees.  Their kits are born in March or April.[/font]
