Common Dolphins, off the Baja Coast (Pacific)
Canon 7DmkII, 70-300, 1/1250 f/8, iso800, cropped about 50%

Late afternoon we came across a good size herd of Common Dolphins.  They were really active, leaping way out of the water.  Great fun to watch and such a challenge to photograph.  I was happy to get this mom and baby, wish it was a bit sharper, should've used more shutter speed.

Hi

Great timing! I am sure I would have managed to captured excellently sharp well composed splashes

A really dun image that certainly hits the spot

All the best
Matthew

Sharper would be nice, but getting such a lovely image with all that reflective water, and their wet reflective skin, is no easy task Cindy, especially considering their speed and agility! Lovely action and great to get the two for one in mid leap like this as well as the water splashes.

Super reflexes. These guys are unbelievably hard to predict when AND where they will jump. Congrats on an excellent capture!
