San Ignacio Lagoon, Baja California

I was in the right spot in the Panga to capture this scene as it unfolded.  There are over 300 Gray Whales in the lagoon now at the height of the season.

Welcome back Cindy!  It looks like you had a rewarding trip with the Whales.

Fantastic to get a head and a tail in one frame like this - and the classic cascade of water off the tail fluke is just right.  Well done!  8)

A great experience, I have only shot Whales once as i do not have very good sea legs but it was very memorable, Fantastic to have so many whales around you and to get 2 in the same image is awesome, Look forward to more

This is really great Cindy! Perfect timing with the two whales together here! I like that there is a mountainous BG fading away behind the whales. Were you on a boat?

This is awesome. Perfect tail shot and catching the head of another in the same frame is quite a bonus. Nicely done.

Dan
