Known as the Terrible Beauty in Costa Rica and is responsible for many snake bites and is one of the country's most dangerous snakes. Although this was taken under controlled conditions you did not take any chances with this guy.

Nikon D7100, Sigma 105 Macro lens.
f/18 @ 1/30 sec. ISO 320, with Speedlight.

Love it. One of the best of this species I have seen. Great perch, DOF, detail and pose. Perhaps a cleaner background as this was captured under controlled conditions? Nice subtle use of flash.
