Dirty Whiskers because he was dining on a seal and evidence still on his Dirty Whiskers. Full Frame , No Crop, Very Close !!!:)

While on my recent GBR Adventure we came across this Big Dark Grizzly at shoreline . We ventured in close but gently , so as not to disturb or interrupt him. We were drifting with the tide and required several close passes to attempt to get him in view with the boat bobbing up,down and sideways. A Challenge to get a clear view. . Several large shoreline rocks were usually between us as he was complacent and comfortable chowing down. At times he would lift his head but only for a very short moment then continue on undisturbed. He was sitting on the edge of a large rock and using it like a stool , with one hind leg fully stretched out.

D600, Nikon 200-400 vr F4 lens, on active vr, taken @ F4, @ 400mm, ISO 2800, 1/250, hand held while drifting with the tide in a Zodiac boat , -.67 Meter compensation, Full Frame, one pass NR,
Northern, British Columbia, Canada , Great Bear Rainforest. in the Gitgaat nation

Fine close up Bill! Bear's eyes aren't the easiest to get in detail, and you did well here.

Hello and thanks for the feedback.

The Grizzly was quite content with this latest feast. apparently enough here for a few days eating. He was seen a few days before in same location with this kill.
