I just returned from my "Winter in Yellowstone" workshop and although the temperatures where much higher than normal and there was a fraction of the snow we would typically expect we still had some spectacular subjects.

One of my favorites species to photograph are the Long Tailed Weasels. These guys are very hard to photograph, as they are very fast and in the winter they turn white making it a challenge to get them in focus quickly enough.

This trip we got fortunate enough to spend about 30 minutes with this one Weasel and we made some spectacular images.

Hope you enjoy it!

Long time - no see!

Good to see your work again Juan, and what a great image of this speeding bullet in the snow. Love it!

Folks,

It's been a long time since I have been here on Naturescapes, I will try to come back more often.

Chas, its always a pleasure seeing you in Yellowstone. I am sure we will run into each other again next year.

I love this shot... I'm a big fan of white on white and the form of the weasel w/ its black-tipped tail and eye create the perfect contrast against the snow. This is so well times with all for feet in the air.

regards,
bruce
