Nice shot of this handsome lion. I like the spotlit face and the layers of shadows in the background. I seem to recall reading that the Kalahari males were known for their dark manes making this one's two-toned version really stand out to me.

Isn't he a handsome boy! What a wonderful specimen Morkel and a fine portrait - I love the angle and those gorgeous eyes, while the movement with the raised forepaw just adds that bit extra!
