I have been using a new 7D II for the past few weeks in Yellowstone. A few have said the 7D II is incapable of capturing sharp images. While I do believe there are a few cameras in the initial release that require calibration, I also believe the resolving power of the cameras smaller pixels requires a higher degree of technique to maximize the cameras full potential.

Additional 7D II images and comments can be found on my FB page.

Sweet -- nice detail both in the snow and coyote's coat.

This one sure looks sharp- nicely done. It seems like there is a steep learning curve for this camera-you've made it round the bend. ;)

Very nice image the snow on the nose area adds a nice touch.
I plan on owning a 7d II and the feedback I have heard is that the operator
needs to learn the camera--seems like you have learned.
