I like the comp and overall scene. Your story reminds me of photographing Bighorns in Georgetown, Colorado one early winter. It was extremely cold and the wind was howling! The coldest I have ever been in my life!

Nice capture with the frosty grasses, and good separation from the treed background.

Would have thought more snow in snow country?

That's downright cold. Love the frosty grasses, the gentle slope of the terrain and the pose of the sheep.
