Surprised , this female Grizzly has an expression  of surprise!
After swimming the estuary waters she climbed the shoreline to a knoll and I was now visible to her! I was floating with the tide in a Zodiac boat, and very quiet , so as not to disturb her natural environment  .
The water dripping from her wet coat and paws giving off a colourful bronze look.

D700 while using a 70-200mmVR F2.8 lens, VR normal mode & @ 200mm,
Hand held, slight crop overall, -.67 meter compensation, Mid day with cloud cover and rain, 1/320, F5.6, ISO 400, one pass selective NR,

Taken in Northern British Columbia Canada  , about 25 miles in from the Pacific, and about 20 miles from Alaska Border, in KHUTZEYMATEEN Grizzly Bear Sanctuary.

Comments and critique appreciated. ..Larger Version with dark border shows off great!

Beautifully taken and presented image as always Bill! Love the pose, sweet detail and soft light - you have really done this lovely bear justice!

Great expression, she does look surprised. I like the water dripping and the raised front paw too.

Gorgeous shot -- love the details. Perhaps a bit of local sharpening around the eyes could top off the excellent processing.
